Reach Out – Join a Virtual Craft Show

What’s the buzz behind Café Handmade?  Our HandmadeMarketing.org team found out!

What is Café Handmade?

Café Handmade is a Weekly Virtual Craft Show,” they wrote. It’s like a traditional craft show, but better. The site mimics, as closely as possible, a traditional craft show, with virtual booths that link to your online shop and the featured artist interviews are like stepping into a booth and chatting it up with the artist. Some live craft shows offer raffles to win artisans submitted work; we mimic that with our weekly giveaways sponsored by artists.”

What made you think of the idea to create a virtual craft show?

When we started Cafe Handmade we wanted a place where crafters and artists could show off their creations and drive traffic to their online shop. Café Handmade offers a variety of ways to promote your shop on any budget.

Sounds cool, but … Does Café Handmade produce sales to Etsy shops?

Café Handmade is highly advertised through various campaigns all directed toward the ideal demographic,” they explain. “We work hard to drive the traffic through to the artisan shops. We pride ourselves on excellent client service and consider each of our clients and readers our friends.

Any advise for Etsy shop owners?

The best advice we can give to any shop owner is to market, market, market. We once read that a consumer needs to see an ad at least 3 times before it catches their attention,” they wrote.  “There are so many wonderfully talented artisans out there and you need to find a way to set yourself apart and get the customers to your shop. Etsy has some great ways to help promote your shop within Etsy, but that is not enough. You need to promote yourself in various ways to get your shop noticed.
