		<description>Facebook&#039;s new unique usernames option is a great new feature.  Unfortunately -- or perhaps fortunately, depending on your perspective -- new Facebook members aren&#039;t permitted to get a unique username (at least not yet).

When I had tried, I received a message to the effect that this was only available to Facebook members who had signed up prior to June 9.  Presumably it will become available soon, although it&#039;s possible that they may keep some kind of delay period, possibly in an effort to minimize people creating tons of new Facebook accounts for the purpose of grabbing hundreds of these unique usernames...</description>
