Blog Post Ideas – Keep Your Etsy Blog Fresh

Not too soon after starting a blog, many bloggers feel a bit bound by the task of posting. If your Etsy shop blog starts looking a little bare, try out a post topic courtesy of our HandmadeMarketing.org team:

  • Contact a recent buyer to conduct an interview about why they bought from your Etsy shop and what they think of your items. Ask the buyer to tell you more about them (where they are from, what they like to do, etc.). You could also ask the buyer to talk about why they love Etsy. Be sure to offer a discount on the buyer’s next order or, even better, a free sample or free item. Post the interview and let the buyer do the writing for you!
  • Do a week-long daily post about your favorite items to use in your craft. If you make purses using second-hand fabric, take the reader with you to your favorite second-hand shop on Monday. Write about the fabrics you saw and be sure to take the camera along. On Tuesday, discuss where you get your buttons for the purses. Write about what local stores have the best deals and feature a few of your favorite buttons you have used in the past. Show the reader a technique you use for determining the length of the straps on Wednesday… you get the idea. Write what you know about (and are already doing) by describing the ins and outs of your craft.
  • Pair up with another Etsy seller and blog about each other! Find an Etsy seller that has a great blog (with a lot of followers), and ask if you can blog about each other’s items for a post or two. Both you and the other Etsy seller will benefit from the exposure.
