Etsy Team Blogs – Make Blogs Work For Your Team

Krystal, the Team Leader for the Etsy Team “Carried Away,” shared wonderful ideas to make individual Etsy seller blogs work for the whole Team.

“Over here at Carried Away (the Etsy Bag Makers Team), we’ve tried a few thing to make the 75 or so active blogs spread among our team work for everyone on the team,” Krystal said.  You can take a look at Krystals Etsy shop Solsisters here.

Krystal suggests promoting “Sister Sundays.” Krystal explains, “Every Sunday Team members are encouraged to pick someone else on the Etsy Team to feature on their blog. This can be very short, just a few pics and links or a more in in depth profile.”

To spread the word about Sister Sundays, Krysal posted in the Carried Away Team’s forums:

“Stuck for a blog post? Carried Away comes to your rescue every Sunday with our new program Promote A Sister Sunday!  Help tell the world about your awesome Teammates in Carried Away and admire some incredible bags!  If you want to participate, it’s easy! Just pick a fellow Carried Away Member whose work you admire and create a blog post about them. Don’t forget to include a link to their shop.”

To help EtsyMarketing.org readers get the picture, Krystal shared an example post she wrote about fellow quilter/pursemaker UniquelyNancy.

Krystal added the requirement that the profile link to the Etsy Team blog as well the Etsy seller’s shop.   “We ask Team mates to come back to the thread and post their features and we all go comment on each other’s posts,” Krystal added.  “This has been a great way to get to know each other as well as a good publicity tool for the entire Etsy Team.”

The Carried Away Team has another great idea to tie individual seller blogs to the entire Team.  “Right now we are having a huge, Team-wide promotion,” Krystal said.  “Every Team mate with an active blog has been asked to post about the giveaway as much as they can this week as well as add a blog banner and a sidebar ad.”
