		<description>An admirable proposition but Etsy has a history of sitting back and letting its sellers do the dirty work.   “So many people don’t know what Etsy is” because Etsy doesn&#039;t advertise.  It&#039;s a four-year-old company for pity&#039;s sake.  People *should* know it by now.

I&#039;ve been a (buyer-only) member of Etsy since early 2006.  I really enjoy it but I know that a lot of sellers are very frustrated with Etsy&#039;s dependency on word-of-mouth-only promotion.</description>
