Read Up – Take Blogging Cues from Helpful Blogs
Our HandmadeMarketing.org team recently read some great blogging tips from Hilary, a handmade seller online at Etsy.com. Hilary is also a blogger dedicated to helping handmade sellers sell more online on her site Haptree and Me, as well as on Craft Blog UK.
“When you start blogging the most important and worrying thing is the content,” Hilary writes in her intro for her Blogging Tips and Tutorials section on Craft Blog UK. “It can be a bit scary and make you feel a little vulnerable to be ‘out there’ but after a few posts you’re raring to go, can’t stop typing and you need a few tips and tricks to really make your blog stand out from the crowd.”
Hilary suggests checking out other amazing blogs to get ideas for how to make yours stand out. Many of these blogs post ideas for how to run your business, while helping you polish your blogging skills.
“Some bloggers have the most amazingly helpful tips and tricks to help your business, your blog and your promotional activities online be really successful,” she explains. “Some are associated with great websites like UK Handmade or Etsy. Others come from everyday bloggers who just want to share their great tips occasionally.”
Browse Hilary’s top blog picks here! One of our team’s favorites is Artists in Business, which is aimed at all self employed artists and artisans.
