Great ideas here, thank you! I must admit that my packaging has been lacking, especially in photos of my work. Not anymore though.

At 1000 Markets, we advocate that our merchants spend time and attention on packaging as a Best Practice. There are so many clever ways to create unique and innovative packaging, I understand from one merchant that there was a whole convention in Manhattan just for vendors selling packaging! It's just that extra special icing on the cake. (Nothing wrong with a extra present added in as well!)

These are some great ideas!! I like the Children's Books as wrapping paper. One example of unique packaging I like to use is recycled Plastic Sushi Containers for my needle-felted sushi. Also I have used recycled egg cartons to send felted Easter Eggs in. I try to recycle and reuse as much as I can. I always recycle old cardboard boxes by cutting & turning them inside out to mail my products. Reuse & Recycle, be a little bit Greener!

I agree, packaging makes a huge difference! Something simple like buying tissue paper and ribbon can be a great deal too, along with a thank you tag with your shops logo or brand.

Great article!
