Tips From A Pro – PaxtonsPhotography

Wow – look at these photographs!
Etsy seller, and phenomenal photographer, Shannon Paxton recently shared her photography tips. We are excited to post them for all the HandmadeMarketing.org readers!
“I find that in terms of photography, natural lighting is just SO important to me,” says Shannon. “There are, of course, so many things that can be done with a flash and I am by no means saying that using a flash will not produce a great photo (because there are many that do!) but I personally rely on natural lighting for 90% of what I do. Whether that means getting up at the brink of dawn, to capture something just so, or staying up until 4am in order to get the perfect shot. Patience IS key!“
“Afterall,” Shannon continues, “what you are actually doing by taking a photograph, is stopping a moment in time. When you are able to work with what nature has given you, and document it in such a way that an audience can almost feel the sunlight, or the cool misty breeze – that is when you find yourself with something ever so extraordinary.”
What’s Shannon’s top photography tip? “Natural lighting. Patience. And don’t forget – a smile. Always a smile.“
