Do you utilize “action words” in your tagging?
To reach the goal of Etsy’s allowance of 14 tags per item, consider using keywords that describe what a potential buyer can do with the item! Our team has found many Etsy shops, as well as handmade shops on other selling platforms, do not take advantage of this tagging technique. In other words, you have a better chance of reaching buyers they miss.
At the bottom of this article is a list of words that may help answer, “What can someone do with my handmade item?”

Remember, if any handmade item in your online store is not tagged with care, you are not reaching all your potential buyers!

this is a great idea…in some industries though, like bath & body, you have to be very careful with the words you use…using the word “heal” in a listing for soap or lotion is making a claim and it now becomes a drug instead of a cosmetic & the laws & requirements change…
