Create a Webcatalogue – My Etsy Book
My Etsy Book allows Etsy sellers to create their own “WebCatalogue” to market their Etsy items. The newly-created WebCatalogue claims to be easy to implement into your current Etsy marketing plan. The site says it can be embedded on any website, including Facebook, Blogger, and Typepad.
Etsy seller Tali, from the shop tammnoony, tell HandmadeMarketing.org what she thinks of My Etsy Book. “A few days ago I found an Etsy post on Twitter that introduced a great new tool called an “Etsy book“, said Tali. “This tool enables everyone who has a shop on Etsy to create a webcatalog from their store! It is so cool and easy to make. I couldn’t believe my eyes!”
Creating a WebCatalogue for your Etsy shop is easy. “All you have to do is enter your Etsy username, edit your styles and that’s it!” Talia say. “You’re done!”
Our team at HandmadeMarketing.org likes the idea of enhancing your pre-existing marketing strategies. Rather than creating new outlets to market, consider saving time and resources by making your current outreach better. Tali’s rave review of My Etsy Book leads us to believe this tool could be a simple and creative way to showcase your Etsy items without much time investment.
However, not everyone thinks the website would work for their marketing. Sarah, from Eyeshoot, says, “It’s a very interesting idea, but there’s no information on the site, no links to samples and the backgrounds are seriously tacky. I wouldn’t put my photos against any of the templates offered. I think they need to reconsider what they are offering and I might have another look.”
Our goal at HandmadeMarketing.org is to provide marketing information to Etsy sellers. Much of our information is generated from Etsy sellers themselves, with the hope the philosophy “what works for one might work for all” will hold true a majority of the time.
Some marketing techniques that are a perfect fit for your Etsy shop may not work for others. This website is platform to mull over ideas and decide what works best for your shop to increase handmade sales!

I like the idea, but I find the backgrounds to be a little tacky for what I’m doing. But it’s a great idea nonetheless – maybe I’ll make one of my own.
Wow, I messed around with that thing for about two hours trying to figure out how the twitter feature worked. Then I just axed it figuring that I didn’t want my second two pages to be blank. Wish I could use this on myspace or ebay or something. looked like someone was onto something but I couldn’t figure out how to use it.
that’s not very encouraging after such a positive blog article. I hope we hear/see some positives soon.
I don’t know if I should do this, but there is a site called Blurb. It’s another photobook site, more customizable. Not sure if you can integrate it online though.
wow, this is really useful. loved the idea but would love it even more if we could use any template we added or if there where more templates to choose from.. if any one knows of any other site like this one please let us know.
Sounds like a neat tool. Off to play around with it.
